MHFB Jazz Commission Open Call
Celebrating New Voices in Jazz – Season 42 Commission Opportunity
The Mile High Freedom Bands is excited to announce an open call for composers to submit proposals for a new jazz band composition to be premiered during our Summer 2026 MHFB Swing concert, “Swinging Under the Stars.” This commission is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting historically underrepresented composers and expanding the jazz repertoire with fresh, innovative voices.
We invite composers of all backgrounds to submit proposals for this new work, which should connect thematically to our Season 42 theme: RISE.
