Good Afternoon MHFB family,

I hope this message finds you safe and well. The MHFB Board of Directors held its monthly meeting virtually this week and discussed the current situation and its impact on Season 36. It is with a cautious yet heavy heart that we cancel or postpone the remainder of our season. This unanimous action by the Board is designed to help lessen the spread of COVID-19 within our family, our organization, and our great state of Colorado.  We need all of us to remain healthy and well to ensure that we can continue living out our mission statement into Season 37 and many years to come.

Cancelled

  • Rehearsals across all ensembles
  • Under the Rainbow – May 9, 2020
  • Freedom Youth – June 15-19, 2020
  • Melodies of Pride – June 16, 2020
  • Denver Pride Participation* – June 20-21, 2020
  • A Midsummer Night’s Jazz – June 24, 2020

Postponed:

  • Rainbow Tie Gala – May 30, 2020 – Postponed to August 29th, 2020

As updated guidance becomes available through local, state, and federal sources, we will continue to evaluate and provide additional updates over the course of the next several weeks.

In everything we do, we’re guided by our mission statement to engageexciteeducate, and entertain. We strive to make decisions that balance the safety of our members with our commitments to our audience and communities. We understand this is a difficult time not just for our family, but for your own families, friends, and neighbors as well. Please take a moment to check on your loved ones, and make sure they have their needs covered not just physically, but emotionally as well. Together, we will pull through this pandemic and return to making beautiful music together.

Musically yours,

Brandon A. Lujan
